Phirooza “Fia” Rustumji is a chef, restaurateur, Mahjong educator, and community builder whose journey has always been rooted in food, culture, and bringing people together.
After decades in Bangalore's culinary world, Fia fulfilled a lifelong dream at the age of 62 by launching Fia's Lounge, a fine-dining restaurant dedicated to authentic Parsi cuisine, warm hospitality, and timeless family traditions.
Mahjong, another lifelong passion learnt through generations of her Parsi family, eventually led Fia to establish The Classic Indian Mahjong League & Academy, where she teaches Western, American, Singaporean, and Taiwanese Mahjong.
Today, Fia's Lounge has become a thriving hub for Bangalore's Mahjong community—a place where players love to gather, play, learn, and connect through classes, workshops, social games, and curated Mahjong experiences.
At 66, Fia continues to celebrate what she loves most—good food, rich traditions, meaningful connections, and bringing people together around the dining table and the Mahjong table.
